BARCELONA may ditch their attempt to sign Arsenal's Alexander Hleb after the Gunners have so far rebuffed all of the Catalan club's efforts.
It is understood that Barca officials have been left increasingly frustrated by Arsenal, as the Emirates side refuse to budge on their £15million asking price.
Reports suggest that negotiations between Arsenal and Barca's sporting vice-president Marc Ingla will continue this week, but if a deal is not struck this time around then the Spanish giants will pull the plug on the move.
Inter Milan were previously tipped as the favourites to land Hleb, but Jose Mourinho's appointment as manager appears to have put paid to any possible transfer, as he will look elsewhere to add to his squad.
The Belarussian playmaker has also ruled out a move to Bayern Munich, and despite his willingness to leave London, the winger may be forced to stay put if a suitable bid is not made.
