A 90-year-old former cyclist celebrated her birthday by getting into the spirit of the Tour de France.
Betty Farringdon has lived in Rayfield, Epping, for around 50 years having moved from Scotland.
In her youth Mrs Farringdon was a competitive cyclist and on Saturday celebrated her birthday with 130 friends and family by donning a Tour de France-themed t-shirt.
The former Brownies leader and Allnuts nursery worker said: “It was a wonderful party.
“People came from all over and even some of my old Brownies sent me cards”
