West Ham United winger Matt Jarvis is looking for a repeat performance of last year’s heroic win over Chelsea, ahead of the Hammers clash with Jose Mourinho’s side on Saturday.

Jarvis in recent years has been fairly successful against the Blues after featuring for Wolves in a famous victory and the 27-year-old is desperately keen to claim a starting role in West Ham’s side against the Stamford Bridge outfit.

"I think it was the highlight of last season really," the 27-year-old told London 24.

"It was a fantastic win and it was just a really good time for us and it was fantastic for the fans. You have got to be on song and playing your best football," explained the winger.

The Hammers have won just once in their last five Premier League matches, but Jarvis himself who has been “in and out of the team”, still remains confident ahead of the local derby.

He said: “The league has shown already that everyone is beating everyone else.

“No-one has been dominant at the moment, so hopefully we can show the qualities we did last year and get a good result.

“We are at home, we have our fans behind us, we need a good result and so hopefully we can get one.”
