West Ham’s prospects have been given a major boost after Alex Song was left out of the Cameroon squad for the African Cup of Nations.
The on-loan Barcelona midfielder has played a key role in helping Sam Allardyce’s side to fourth in the Premier League ahead of their Boxing Day clash with Chelsea.
The Cup of Nations will be held in Equatorial Guinea from January 17 to February 8.
