ANTON'S ANTICS with Anton Ferdinand

IT was not a good weekend for me or the club.

Losing to Watford was a real blow and for me personally to give away a penalty was heart-breaking.

I couldn't believe it. But that's football and you have to be tough, you have to be ready for the next game.

It is hard hearing the fans booing and shouting but they have the right to their opinion.

They pay for their tickets. They come and watch us game in, game out and they have the right to respond and voice their views.

I understand how they feel, but as players we are working hard. We are training and we are fighting and we will not give up.

We're doing double training sessions until the Charlton game. It was reported in some newspapers that the players were unhappy about that, but I could never be unhappy training.

Feeling fit and being back out there with the boys is great after being out injured. I always want to improve as well.

That was the thing. Physically I felt good on Saturday, but it wasn't the result we wanted or needed.

Now we face Charlton next week and that is a must-win game. Even more than the Watford match was. We cannot take anything for granted and cannot come away without the points.

We have to get a win. Nothing else will do.

Seeing Arsenal beat Wigan in the last ten minutes on Sunday, helped us. It was a bit of a lift, because we are still there, just five points behind them.

We are not through. We are still fighting and we can save ourselves.
