Diafra Sakho’s representatives are reportedly at a loss as to why the striker has not been allowed to leave West Ham for Rennes.

The Senegalese forward was expected to finalise a £9 million move to the Ligue 1 outfit before the window slams shut tonight.

However, co-chairman David Sullivan took to twitter yesterday to insist he would not be allowed to leave London Stadium.

He wrote: “Diafra Sakho is not for sale in this transfer window he is an integral part of our first team squad and will play a part in our recovery."

The news has left the 27-year-old bemused wioth sources close to the player reportedly saying: “West Ham have radically changed their position"
