West Ham are reportedly among a trio of clubs who are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen defender Aleksandar Dragovic.

Dragovic is no stranger to the Premier League having spent last season on loan with Leicester City where he made 16 appearances in all competitions, helping Claude Puel’s side finish in ninth place.

The Foxes apparently have the option to buy the Austrian international this summer but having signed Jonny Evans in a cut price move from West Bromwich Albion earlier this month, they may now turn their attentions elsewhere.

West Ham are reportedly keeping an eye on Dragovic’s situation alongside Brighton and Marco Silva’s Everton as they aim to bring in recruitments to bolster their side.

The Hammers have already strengthened their defence this summer with Manuel Pellegrini bringing in Issa Diop for a club record fee as well as right-back Ryan Fredericks, but the Chilean may now be looking to make a move for Dragovic, who is understood to be keen on remaining in the Premier League.

Dragovic has won 63 caps for Austria and enjoyed spells with FC Basel as well as Dynamo Kiev earlier in his career.
