WEST Ham are weighing up a bid for Reading midfielder James Harper, according to reports.
The Daily Mail has suggested that the east Londoners are keen to take the former Arsenal trainee to Upton Park.
But Middlesbrough and Premier League newboys Stoke have also both been linked with a move for the 27-year-old.
Harper is the Royals third longest-serving player, having made almost 300 appearances.
But he will is eager to leave the club following their relegation to the Championship and Reading are rumoured to have already lined up Swansea's Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde as a replacement.
