WEST HAM duo Robert Green and Matthew Upson have been called up to a 23-man England squad for the World Cup qualifiers with Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Keeper Green, who has one cap to his name, was given the nod by Three Lions boss Fabio Capello despite his two howlers in the Irons' 3-1 defeat against Bolton yesterday.

The 28-year-old was at fault for Kevin Davies' opener, and then should have done better with the Trotters' second as Gary Cahill prodded in.

Upson meanwhile, will be looking to win his tenth cap following his late substitute appearance in last month's 4-1 win over Croatia.

England host Kazakhstan at Wembley on Saturday, before the trip to Belarus the following Wednesday.
