ALAN Pardew said that while Hammers had some cases of walking wounded' he is determined to get a result against London rivals Spurs at Upton Park on Sunday, in the final Premiership game of the season, writes Laura Burkin.

Pardew said: "I know what it means for our fans for us to put in a good performance and get a result against Spurs.

"Everyone is looking forward to the FA Cup final, but I know that the fans will want us to finish well, especially as it's against Spurs.

"The game has a lot riding on it, for both Spurs and Arsenal and ideally I would also want to put out my Cup final side. Whether there is a chance of that, we'll have to wait and see."

Hammers were dealt a blow last week when Hayden Mullins' red card he received alongside Liverpool's Luis Garcia in the league meeting was upheld by the FA.

Both players are banned for three games including the final on May 13.

And watching Dean Ashton (right)having to go off with a hamstring injury, Pardew is concerned but remaining upbeat.

He said: "We are a bit walking wounded at the moment, but Deano is our biggest worry. He said he felt a twinge, so we just took him off straight away. We've already suffered a blow losing Hayden for the final and we don't want to lose any more of our big players.

"While Deano fits into that category, we are blessed in that department up front, it's one of our real areas of strength.

"I thought Bobby and Teddy were terrific against Liverpool and West Brom.

"Marlon came on late in that game to help us get the win. It will be a huge disappointment if Dean, who won't be involved this Sunday, has to lose out, but we'll see how he progresses now."
