I WAS very happy to get my fifth goal of the season in our 1-0 win at West Brom.

It was a good victory for us, not an easy game by any means, but we got the result which means we will finish the season in the top ten of the Premiership.

It's no secret that we've had many critics who thought we would go straight back down again this season and while it's nice to prove those people wrong, we just kept on believing in ourselves and working hard.

Of course we have the matter of a London derby against Spurs to finish the league off this weekend and I know it's one that the fans are not only looking forward to but will want us to win. Going back to the West Brom game, I must mention Kyel Reid who was named as a substitute but then had to come straight in for his debut after Matty got injured.

Kyel did fantastic and was for me the man of the match.

He showed a lot of confidence, no fear, put some good balls in and has put himself in good stead to be in the gaffer's plans for next year. Along with Kyel, there was Hogan Ephraim and Jack Jefferies who travelled with the squad and they all have real promise to break through.

It's been a bit of a rollercoaster week following the news that our appeal against Hayden Mullins' red-card was unsuccessful. I along with all the lads am absolutely gutted for him, because he's been such a big player for us this season.

He's also my room-mate on most away trips and we have all just had to help him this week.

There's a few lads on the treatment table at the moment, with Dean being the latest casualty this week. Injuries unfortunately happen to players and we can't be wrapped up in cotton wool.

Speaking for myself, you just have to go out and play every game as normal, you can't think about it too much because otherwise your game will be affected and you may leave yourself at more risk. Fingers crossed everyone will be ok.

There's no news on an FA Cup record, but obviously we are getting measured up for our FA Cup final suits and while in the past some of the lads have given me stick about my choice of suits, this time it is out of my hands so I won't get the blame for any of it.
