West Ham boss Sam Allardyce has admitted he is in the market for a couple of signings next month to help his side's promotion push.
The Irons have been struck down by a series of injuries including midfielders Henri Lansbury and David Bentley. Allardyce has been forced to change the side on a regular basis and is keen to bolster the squad for the remainder of the season.
The former Newcastle boss told the club website: "It's not too early to be looking. We hope to get a couple of players in January.
"We need them at this time of year. It's not just injuries, it's suspensions and it's the flu season and we could lose more players.
"We have to hope we don't get too affected, but we will get in the market for a couple of players in January."
