West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diamé captained Senegal in their 1-1 draw against UAE in the Olympic Games men’s football.
The African nation had gone behind when Ismaeil Matar fired home in the 21st minute to give UAE a surprise lead.
However, four minutes after the break Moussa Konate netted his fourth goal of the tournament to level the score.
Senegal had chances to take victory but they were unable to add a second and the match ended all squad.
Senegal will now take on Mexico in the quarter-final stage on Saturday (August 4).
