FORM: The Magpies started the season unbeaten in their first four league matches and won their opening Carling Cup match against Barnsley under new boss Sam Allardyce.
But defeat away to Premier League minnows Derby on Monday has left Newcastle reeling and they will be keen to make amends in front of their home fans.
West Ham have not won at St James' Park since 1998, although their last two visits resulted in draws.

After an injury plagued start to his Toon career, every Englishman is pleased to see Owen hitting the back of the net for club and country.
