DANGER MAN: Aiyegbeni Yakubu proved on Wednesday what a he is - at any time in the game. The Nigerian forward had a quiet evening and was well shackled by Danny Gabbidon, but came alive late on to send his side through.
FUN FACT: Actor and TV presenter Simon O'Brien is a diehard Blue. According to some reports, the main reason O'Brien quit his role on the TV soap Brookside (where he played Damon Grant) was because of his constant arguing over football matters with Sue Johnston (his on-screen mother, Sheila) - a Liverpool fan.
