Liverpool v West Ham, Wednesday, March 5, 8pm, Barclays Premier League
MATCH PREVIEW
LAST MEETING:
West Ham 1 Liverpool 0 (30-01-08, Barclays Premier League)
LAST TIME AT ANFIELD: Liverpool 2
West Ham 1 (26-08-06, Barclays Premier League)
HEAD-TO-HEAD: Liverpool 59 wins,
West Ham 23 wins, 33 draws
FORM: Since the shock home FA Cup defeat to Barnsley last month, Liverpool have won three games on the bounce, including an impressive 2-0 win over Italian giants Inter Milan in the Champions League.
Rafa Benitez's men will also be keen to exact revenge on the Hammers for the 1-0 they suffered at Upton Park in Janurary.
DANGER MAN: If he starts - which can never be certain when Benitez is picking the side - Fernarndo Torres will be the man the Hammers defence will worry most about.
Torres, a club record £26.5 million signing from Atletico Madird in the summer, scored a hat trick against Middelsbrough only two weeks ago and has netted an impressive 15 times this season.
FUN FACT: Comedian and reality television star Les Dennis - real name Leslie Dennis Heseltine - is an avid Liverpool fan.
However, he is actually named after Denis Law, a footballing legend of the Reds' bitter rivals Manchester United.
PREDICTION: Liverpool 0
West Ham 0
10:05am Wednesday 5th March 2008
