SCOTT Parker claimed a dramatic late winner for West Ham at the Riverside.
The energetic midfielder picked up Lucas Neill's neat pass in the Boro box and ran past Boro defender David Wheater before prodding home into the far corner.
The goal rounded off the Hammers' best passing move of the match and proved to be a worthy winner.
Wheater had given the home side a 39th minute lead with the easiest of finishes after Jeremie Aliadiere had headed Stewart Downing's deep free kick back across the face of goal.
Dean Ashton brought the Hammers level five minutes later with a thunderous first time drive from the edge of the box from Henri Camara's neat lay off.
And Parker popped up in the 90th minute to stun the Teesiders and earn the Hammers a fifth away win of the season.
West Ham: Green, Neill, Upson, Spector, McCartney, Solano (Noble 76), Parker, Mullins, Ljungberg, Ashton, Camara (Pantsil 85). Unused subs: Wright, Dailly, Ephraim.
