West Ham United started their Premier League campaign with a 2-0 home win over Cardiff City.
Joe Cole opened the scoring with a neat finish in the 13th minute against Malky Mackay's side.
The Hammers sealed the three points after 76 minutes when Kevin Nolan netted from the edge of the area.
