West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has confirmed the Irons will look to strengthen in the January transfer window.

The Hammers have been linked with several attackers in recent weeks, including Inter Milan striker Diego Milito and Nigeria international Obafemi Martins.

West Ham sit 17th in the Premier League table and have only scored 13 goals in 15 matches this season.

"The supporters are frustrated," Allardyce told the club website. "They didn't and we didn't expect to be where we are at this moment in time.

"When we played against Fulham we were in a similar position and alleviated some pressure but let ourselves down after that.

"The owners have always shown patience when dealing with a difficult situation, it's about picking up results and the pressure will go.

"What we want to try and look at all players that are available," he added. "Everyone knows that we're in the market for a player."
