West Bromwich Albion are interested in securing a deal for West Ham winger Matt Jarvis, according to the Sunday People.

Jarvis, 28, joined the Hammers from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2013, after impressing during three seasons in the top flight with the Midlands outfit.

The former Gillingham winger has now emerged as a target for new West Brom head coach Alan Irvine, despite featuring regularly for the Hammers throughout pre-season.

Irons boss Sam Allardyce has built his side around two wingers in pre-season – Jarvis and Stewart Downing – but the ex-England internationals are the only senior wingers at Upton Park.

Jarvis has made 64 Premier League appearances and score four goals for West Ham in two seasons at Upton Park.
