West Ham United have been drawn against League 1 side Sheffield United in the League Cup second round.
The Blades will visit Upton Park for on the week commencing August 25. Sheffield United progressed to the second round by beating Mansfield Town 2-1.
There is history between the two clubs, with the Blades relegated in West Ham's place in 2007 following the high-profile Carlos Tevez affair.
It was the Yorkshire outfit who showed the most opposition to the Argentine's involvement with the Hammers, launching a lengthy legal process which ended up costing the Irons £2om in compensation.
Tevez, who had arrived at Upton Park on loan from third party investment group Media Sports Investment (MSI), played a key role in the Hammers avoiding the drop.
However the club were not docked any points, despite breaching Premier League rules on third party ownership and were fined just £5m instead.
The Hammers’ last Capital One Cup campaign ended in the semi-finals with a 9-0 aggregate rout at the hands of Manchester City earlier this year.
