Aaron Cresswell netted his first Premier League to send West Ham back up to fifth in the table following a 1-0 win over ten-man Newcastle United.
The former Ipswich Town defender netted the decisive contribution in the 56th minute to give Sam Allardyce’s men their first win in four and end Newcastle’s five-game winning streak in the top flight.
The visitors finished the game a man down after Moussa Sissoko was shown two yellow cards in the space of 46 seconds after the break.
Cresswell scored the winner after breaking forward and was in the right place to convert after Cheikhou Kouyate’s shot fell into his path.
