Ravel Morrison could be close to a move to Lazio.

The player has been told he can leave for free, even though he has a reported £18 million buyout clause in his contract, following a disappointing loan spell at Cardiff City.

Officials from the Italian club have been alerted to Morrison’s situation while in London, with West Ham reported to be asking for a percentage of any sell-on if he joins the Serie A outfit and moves again in the future.

The 21-year-old joined the Hammers for £650,000 from Manchester United a year ago and has scored five goals in a total of 24 appearances in all competitions.
