West Ham United have avoided being expelled from the FA Cup but have been fined £71,000 by FIFA for playing Diafra Sakho in their FA Cup win against Bristol City.
Sakho, 25, was selected to play in the African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea for Senegal but withdrew due to a back injury.
However the Hammers striker scored a later winner as a substitute to knock Bristol City out of the FA Cup in the fourth round.
The former Metz man therefore broke FIFA rules stating that players cannot play for their clubs whilst they are supposed to be on international duty.
