Ravel Morrison’s career has been marred by controversy but his move to Lazio could help reignite his career, with his agent claiming that the player is relishing the prospect of playing in Serie A.
The former Manchester United product had his contract terminated by West Ham at the weekend.
The 22-year-old will join the Biancocelesti on a Bosman in the summer. Until then he is a free agent but the midfielder has already played for clubs in England and Wales and FIFA rules stipulate that he cannot join a third in the same season.
However, the gifted midfielder could still be eligible to train with his new teammates and his agent, Nick Rubery, insisted that he was looking forward to a new challenge.
“He can’t wait, he’s happy to start this experience with Lazio. It a club which has great tradition and is growing exponentially.”
“Italian football is best suited to his characteristics, Ravel can be anything he wants to be.
“He’s a player with great quality, if he wants it he can be on the same level as so many great players,” Rubery told Tuttomercatoweb.
“His contract with West Ham was only terminated on Saturday, in the coming days, or at most weeks he’ll decide what to do with Lazio.”
