West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has been linked with a move to Sunderland.
According to the Daily Mail, Allardyce will be in the frame for the Sunderland job if Gus Poyet is sacked.
Poyet is under pressure after a poor run of form including a 4-0 home defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
Allardyce is a former Sunderland player and with his contract expiring this summer could be tempted by a return to the north east.
