Two West Ham youngsters tasted international success last night in European Championship qualifiers.
Sean Maguire came off the bench to win his first Under-21 cap as the Republic of Ireland beat Andorra 1-0 in their opening qualifier for the 2017 championships.
Fellow Hammers Academy youngster Reece Oxford was also deployed as a substitute as England Under-17s completed their qualification campaign with a 2-1 win over Romania.
Two victories in two games had already seen the team secure their place at this summer’s final and having scored in the 3-1 win against Slovenia on Monday, the centre-half came on for the last 12 minutes of the Romania success.
