West Ham United are desperate to bolster their striking ranks this summer, with Marseille’s André-Pierre Gignac, Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and Manchester United’s Javier Hernandez all linked by the Daily Mirror.

The Hammers join Liverpool and Newcastle United in the race for French cap Gignac, after attempts to sign him in the January transfer window fell flat.

The 29-year-old striker, who has scored 20 goals this season, will be out of contract in summer and has attracted the interest of several clubs around Europe, including Dynamo Moscow and Internazionale.

After an injury hit season for West Ham’s strike force, the club are keen to bolster their attacking options, with Wilson also on their radar.

But it is unlikely Wilson will be ready to leave the Cherries, who were all-but promoted to the Premier League for the first time in their history last night.

The 23-year-old, who was playing for Tamworth in the Conference North just four years ago, has scored 22 times for the Cherries this season and reportedly attracted interest from Chelsea and Aston Villa.

And the Hammers may also turn to Mexican striker Hernandez, who is frustrated by a lack of opportunities at United and currently on loan at Real Madrid.

He has been used mostly as a substitute since his move to Old Trafford in 2010, so an extended first team run will appeal.
