West Ham United look set to be beaten to the signature of Andre Ayew by Swansea City after former boss Harry Redknapp tweeted to reveal his destination.
The highly-rated Ghanaian, who is available on a free after leaving French side Marseille, seemed on course to join the Hammers.
But Swansea have emerged as late favourites to sign the striker who scored 11 times for the Ligue 1 club last season.
Former Hammers boss Harry Redknapp, who joined Twitter this week, claimed that Ayew would soon agree terms with the Welsh club.
He tweeted: “Heard Swansea are close to signing Andre Ayew from Marseille. He's on the way there with his agent Mark Mackay to do the deal. Good player.”

The forward, who has also reportedly attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, has Champions League experience as well as 62 caps for his country.
