Ex-West Ham United boss Harry Redknapp has given news Hammers boss Slaven Bilic his backing after succeeding Sam Allardyce.
The Croatian agreed a three-year deal with the east Londoners and Redknapp, who left Queens Park Rangers last season, took to Kicca to praise the selection of the club's board.
He said: “Slaven Bilic will be a great signing for West Ham. He knows the club well and I think he’ll bring back one or two of the old players to work with him on the coaching side.
“So it’s an opportunity for one or two lads he played with to do some specialist coaching and work with him in his backroom team. So all in all I think it’s a good signing.”
Bilic replaces Allardyce, who was allowed to leave at the end of last season despite steering the club to a 12th-place finish.
