West Ham United are looking to hijack Crystal Palace’s move for Paris St-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye, according to reports.

Palace have been pursuing the French international for weeks and it had been claimed that they had made a bid approaching £10 million.

Eagles co-chairman Steve Parish commented on the rumours in an interview with talkSPORT on Saturday, saying “Yohan Cabaye is definitely one we’d like to do. It would be a massive thing for the club obviously, because he’s a seasoned international.”

However, reports in the last couple of days have suggested that Cabaye would be more interested in a move to West Ham.

French newspaper Le Parisien claims the Hammers have already made contact with PSG, and that the midfielder is open to the move.

Cabaye has struggled to hold down a starting spot in Paris since his £19 million move from Newcastle United in January 2014.
