Slaven Bilic's first game in charge of West Ham United resulted in a 1-0 win in FC Lusitans which sealed a 4-0 aggregate victory in the Europa League tie.
The match got off to a bad start for the Hammers when Diafra Sakho was dismissed for clashing with a defender.
But the Premier League side still won after striker Elliot Lee netted his first senior goal for the club.
West Ham will take on Maltese side Birkirkara in the next round of the competition.
