Roma striker Mattia Destro is reportedly in talks to sign for West Ham United.

According to the Daily Star, Destro and his agent have flown over to London to conclude talks with the east London club.

Destro is highly likely to leave the Italian giants and had been linked with other London clubs Arsenal and Chelsea.

However, it appears the Hammers will sign the striker on a season-long loan with a view to permanent switch at the end of the deal. Destro struggled for regular football at Roma last season and was moved to Milan on loan in January.

Crystal Palace had also been linked with the of the 5ft 11in centre-forward but West Ham seem to be in pole position to complete the deal.
