Slaven Bilic has added a two of his previous associates to West Ham United’s backroom staff with Edin Terzic becoming first-team coach and Miljenko Rak appointed head of performance.

Both worked alongside Bilic in Turkey at his previous club Besiktas.

Terzic spent a decade playing lower division football in Germany before becoming a coach in 2010. Then he worked with Borussia Dortmund’s Under-17 and Under-19 squads. He later joined the senior team’s technical staff and scouted future opponents for Jurgen Klopp’s sides.

In 2013 he first teamed up with the current West Ham manager, helping Besiktas to a couple of third-place finishes.

Rak came into football with a background in athletics, handball and winter sports and he was first paired with Bilic when during his time in Croatia’s backroom staff.

He then went with the current Hammers manager to Lokomotiv Moscow, in Russia, and then Besiktas.
