West Ham United will appeal the red card given to goalkeeper Adrian in the 2-1 home defeat to Leicester City on Saturday.
Adrian, 28, was sent off in injury time by referee Anthony Taylor for appearing to raise his foot into in the chest of Leicester striker Jamie Vardy, which was deemed as amounting to serious foul play by the officials.
If the appeal is unsuccessful, the Hammers would be forced to call upon former Birmingham City goalkeeper Darren Randolph, who joined from the Championship side as back up to Adrian this summer.
Adrian is on course to miss three Premier League games, including a tough away trip to Liverpool as well as fixtures against Bournemouth and Newcastle United respectively at Upton Park
