West Ham United’s Dimitiri Payet will be out until February with an ankle injury following a challenge from Everton's James McCarthy on Saturday.

Payet had a scan on Sunday and is due to see a specialist at central London hospital on Monday to determine whether he needs to undergo an operation.

Also injured in Saturday's game was Enner Valencia. The Ecuadorian has re-injured his right ankle and will also be assessed by a specialist on Monday.

On a more positive note, Diafra Sakho and Winston Reid should be match fit in time for West Ham's next Premier League clash, at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, November 22.

Sakho had been suffering with a quadriceps injury. But after running this week, the Hammers are confident he won’t suffer from any setbacks and will be available to face Spurs.

Centre-back Reid had been out for four weeks with a hip problem prior to returning against Everton in a 1-1 draw at Upton Park at the weekend and is expected to come through to face Mauricio Pochettino's side.

On Tuesday Alex Song played his first match in six months, a behind-closed-doors friendly win over Crystal Palace at Upton Park, getting 60 minutes under his belt before being replace.

Also moving in the right direction is Pedro Obiang. The Spaniard is continuing his rehabilitation after injuring his quadriceps in training prior to defeat at Watford.
