Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing insists he has no regrets about leaving West Ham United in the summer.
Downing dropped down to the Championship after signing for Middlesbrough but he insists he does not regret leaving Upton Park.
He told the Telegraph: “I might do if we don’t get promoted, but no, not really. I’ve had no regrets up till now.
“We’re in a good position in the league and we could be in the semi-final of the [Capital One] cup.
“The aim is to get promoted, but this is a great opportunity for us to reach a semi-final. By the end of the week we could be top of the Championship and looking forward to a semi-final."
