West Ham United playmaker Dimitri Payet has been called into Didier Deschamps’ France squad following his superb run of form for the Hammers.

The 28-year-old made his Les Bleus debut against Romania in 2010 and has 15 senior caps to date, the last of which came against Albania in June.

But his form was Slaven Bilic’s side has been sensational and he has been called up for friendlies against the Netherlands and Russia with the European Championships three months away.

France face the Dutch in Amsterdam on Friday, March 25 before Russia visit Paris on Tuesday, March 29.

Payet has scored 11 goals and supplied ten assists in 29 outings for the east Londoners following his switch from Ligue 1 side Marseille last summer.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph has been included in the Republic of Ireland’s provisional squad for pre-2016 European Championships friendlies with Switzerland (March 25) and Slovakia (March 29).

Midfielder Cheikhou Kouyate is included in Senegal’s squad for a pair of 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger.

Finally, striker Enner Valencia is included in Ecuador’s squad for two 2018 World Cup qualifiers with Paraguay and Colombia.
