West Ham have won their appeal against Cheikhou Kouyate’s red card against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
It means the midfielder is now free to face Arsenal on Saturday and Manchester United in the FA Cup in midweek.
Kouyate was shown a red card by referee Mark Clattenburg for a challenge on Palace’s Dwight Gayle and was facing a three-match ban.
West Ham boss Slaven Bilic and Palace boss Alan Pardew both felt the dismissal was wrong and the Hammers duly appealed.
And this afternnon the FA issued a statement saying: “An Independent Regulatory Commission has today upheld a wrongful dismissal claim in relation to West Ham United’s Cheikhou Kouyate.
"The player, who was dismissed for serious foul play during the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday will therefore not serve any suspension.”
