West Ham United have confirmed the signing of Valencia winger Sofiane Feghouli on a free transfer.

Feghouli has signed a three-year-contract at the Olympic Stadium and the winger will officially become a Hammer on July 1.

The 26-year-old has spent the past six-years with Valencia in La Liga, where he scored 42 goals in 243 appearances for Los Che in all competitions.

Prior to moving to Spain, he spent time with Red Star and Paris FC before joining Grenoble as a teenager. He spent six seasons with the French side, helping them to gain promotion to Ligue 1 in 2008, before joining Valencia in May 2010.

A number of clubs were linked with a potential move for Feghouli, who was available on a free transfer having failed to agree terms on a new contract with the La Liga side, and the Hammers have now won the race for his signature.

Speaking to West Ham’s website, Feghouli said: "I am very happy to sign for the Hammers and for Slaven Bilic. The history of the club is important for me in my decision.

"Playing in the Premier League is very important for players in their careers and I am happy to play for the Hammers."

The 26-year-old becomes the Hammers’ second summer signing, with the club agreeing a deal with Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Havard Nordtveit last month.
