James Collins’ Wales bowed out of the semi-final of Euro 2016 against Portugal.

Goals from Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani secure the victory which ended Chris Coleman’s side’s campaign in France.

Collins received his first start in the tournament due to a Ben Davis suspension.

While Wales were dominant in the first half, five minutes into the second they were 1-0 down as Ronaldo headed past Wayne Hennessey before his ball into the box three minutes later was converted by Nani.

Despite attempts from Gareth Bale and Hal Robson-Kanu, the Welsh team could not cut the deficit.

Collins, who was substituted in the 65th minute, also made an appearance in their 3-1 win over Belgium in the quarter finals.

Portugal will now face either Dimitri Payet’s France or World Champions Germany in Paris on Sunday, July 10.
