Jonathan Calleri has said he has already completed a move to West Ham with the club hoping to announce his signing imminently.
According to the evening Standard, The Argentine striker, 22, is set to arrive at the Olympic Stadium on a season0long loan, though the club will still target traditional striking reinforcements.
Calleri, who spent last season on loan from Deportivo Maldonando at Brazilian side Sao Paulo, averages at scoring a goal every 180 minutes in all competition.
He has been awarded a place in his country’s Olympic squad last month and he told ESPN he always wanted to play in Europe.
The striker’s arrival may open the door for Diafra Sakho to leave the Olympic Stadium with West Brom reportedly interested in the striker and have already offered £16m for the Senegal player.
