Hammers flop moves on

FORMER West Ham flop Sergei Rebrov has moved to Russian outfit Rubin Kazan.

The 33-year-old had an unsuccessful one-season spell with the Hammers during 2005-6 that bought just two goals in 32 appearances.

Prior to that he had joined rivals Tottenham for £11 million after being signed by George Graham in June 2000.

But he failed to ever justify the high price tag, managing in total just 16 goals in 76 games, and was farmed out on-loan to Fenerbahçe after being frozen out by Glenn Hoddle.

He then moved to Upton Park before returning to his homeland as a free agent to play for his first club, Dynamo Kiev.

But, despite being named as Player of the Year thanks to his 14 goals in 34 matches in his first season, he struggled to reach such heights this term and has decided to try his luck elsewhere.

He has agreed a two-year contract with Rubin.
