WEST Ham have reportedly offered Freddie Ljungberg £3 million to leave the club after just one season.
According to The Times, the Irons - who are looking to reduce their wage bill - are keen to offload the 31-year-old winger.
And the club would be willing to pay up the majority of the remaining three years of his four-year contract worth £75,000 a week to do it.
Although he is not obliged to agree to the deal, Ljungberg (pictured) could well be tempted by the offer as he could then move to another club on a free transfer.
A series of niggling injuries has blighted his brief career at Upton Park and he suffered a cracked rib in the 2-2 draw with Newcastle a fortnight ago.
The Sweden international has managed just 25 Premier League appearances and scored two goals following his £3 million switch from Arsenal last summer.
