WEST HAM have taken their transfer tally to three with the loan signing of former Tottenham striker Mido and the free transfer of Brazilian forward Ilan.
Mido, 26, began the season with Egyptian side Zamalek, on loan from Middlesbrough, but has made the switch to the Hammers and will stay until the end of the season.
29-year-old Ilan arrives from St Etienne after being released by the French club. His deal will also see him remain at Upton Park until the end of the current campaign, but there is an option for extending the player's stay.
The pair's arrival follows the deadline day arrival of Blackburn's Benni McCarthy, who put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal earlier in the day.
Mido insisted he was keen to impress during his time in east London as he battles to help West Ham beat the drop.
"I am here to play football and to prove a point, definitely," he said. "I am very happy to be here.
"I had to sacrifice some things but this is a great club and I am sure I will do well here, hopefully."
Ilan told the club's website: "I am very happy to have signed and to play here. I spoke to Gianfranco Zola and he is a very nice guy. I spoke a little Italian and a little French to him. It is a great opportunity for me.
"West Ham are a big club in England and and very traditional club. I also love the Premier League."
