Manchester United v West Ham, Saturday, May 3, 12.45pm, Barclays Premier League

3:28pm Friday 2nd May 2008

MATCH PREVIEW

LAST MEETING: West Ham 2 United 1 (29-12-07, Barclays Premier League) LAST TIME AT OLD TRAFFORD: United 0 West Ham 1 (13-05-07, Barclays Premier League) HEAD-TO-HEAD: United 49 wins, West Ham 41 wins, 24 draws FORM: United go into the game on the back of their poorest form of the season having won just one of the last four Premier League games.

That could prove costly as Chelsea have drawn level on points at the top of the table.

United remain in pole position though, thanks to a markedly better goal difference.

And, if they take maximum points from their remaining two games - against the Hammers and then Wigan on the final day of the season - they will again be crowned champions.

DANGER MAN: Cristiano Ronaldo is the obvious candidate after a breathtaking season that has seen him collect the PFA Player of the Year Award for the second season running.

The Portugal international has been nothing short of sensational, banging in 28 Premier League goals - 38 in total - so far and generally running opponents ragged.

He will be the one Hammers will want to keep quiet but, then again, United have match winners all over the park.

FUN FACT: Ian Brown, musician and former lead singer of Madchester band The Stone Roses, has been a Manchester United fan since boyhood.

So much so that Brown (pictured) , who has a season ticket in K Stand, requested that his NME 'Godlike Genius' award was presented by one of the club's treble winning side of 1999, Teddy Sheringham.

PREDICTION: United 3 West Ham 0
