Boa Morte considers his Hammers future

LUIS Boa Morte has hinted he may be forced out of West Ham this summer as he struggles to cope with the constant abuse thrown his way from sections of the Upton Park crowd.

A large contingent of supporters appear to have made the former Arsenal forward a scapegoat for the Hammers' poor run of performances in the season run-in.

And the Portugal international (pictured) admits the incessant booing is beginning to affect him.

"Nobody likes to work and get booed every single week when you're name is read out, when you touch the ball, so of course it is not a good situation," said Boa Morte.

"If the supporters boo me then I have to play against them and the opposition.

"When I came here, I came in good spirits and to reach my targets and help the team achieve their targets as well.

"But when I get booed after 30 minutes then this is a situation that doesn't make me happy,"

Boa Morte established himself as a crowd favourite at Fulham, but since his £5million move across the river he has struggled to make an impact, scoring just one goal in 40 appearances for the Hammers.

And, after receiving some rough treatment from the fans over the last few weeks, the 30-year-old winger revealed he will be holding talks with manager Alan Curbishley about his future at the club, despite receiving support from his team-mates.

"I've worked hard over the last eight weeks while they've been booing me," he continued.

"My team-mates have been brilliant because they know that it was unfair from the supporters.

"It makes me feel sad but I'm never going to throw the towel in.

"I will sit down with the chairman and the manager and speak to them about it and find the best solution.

"I've got two years left at West Ham but of course I don't like the situation and we'll see what happens in the summer."
