The Award Winning Greenstead Farm offers you the very best of local produce. We have a Farm Shop, Café, Animal Feeds, Equestrian Clothing and Accessories, and a Post Office on our premises. Well worth a visit to the countryside!!!
We are passionate about ‘Buying British’ and our ethos for the farm shop is to source as much produce as possible from local producers and are pleased that more that 60% of what we sell is grown or produced locally. The shop and café has over 85 suppliers, many of them small producers.
Our farm shop offers you a fantastic array of local goods. There is great deli area, with an amazing selection of cheeses (many of which are local), a meat area, local produce, free range eggs and fresh daily bread.. The wide range of local grocery products includes local wines, ales, conserves, and much more. There is also a convenience section and an area designated to gifts and paintings from local artists. We now also have our very own fresh vegetables, grown here on the farm and our own brand of fresh ready meals, made by our in-house chef. At one end of our barn is our cosy, atmospheric café. Here you can relax with a coffee and cake, or something more substantial with our great lunchtime menu and daily specials. We provide a full English breakfast in the mornings, special Farm Cream Teas in the afternoons and fantastic roast dinners on Sundays. Our children’s menu also ensures your family have a delicious and nutritious meal. We also have a licence to serve beers and wines, so you can enjoy our lovely garden area in summer to its full potential. All the food is made by our in-house chefs, using ingredients from local suppliers and produce from our own farm.
Our animal feed centre offers a thoroughly diverse range of products. We stock a variety of feed for pets, birds and horse food and nutrition. We also cater for other animals on request. Our staff are extremely friendly and ready to discuss and special requirements you may have. There is also a selection of pet accessories including bedding, collars and leads. We now have a specialised equestrian section in the shop. Here we sell Grooming Kits, Tack, and a great range of clothing. Hats and footwear is available including general country footwear. Again we will try and accommodate any special requests you may have.
With such a lot to offer, Greenstead Farm is well worth a visit. We can be accessed from the A1124 Colchester Road, A131 Sudbury Road, and also the A120 turn off to Stisted. There is a large car park and full disabled access. Whether it is some delicious local cheese, a stock up on your jams or a lunch out with your family, Greenstead Farm can offer quality local products in a beautiful countryside location.
