Anne Hathaway has celebrated her recent engagement with a party in New York.

The One Day star, who is set to tie the knot to The Dukes Of Hazzard actor Adam Shulman, held a gathering for 125 people at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe in downtown Manhattan, People reports.

None of Anne's A-list pals are thought to have attended the soiree, which was packed with family and friends.

Anne and Adam started dating in 2008 and announced their engagement in November last year.

The actress has previously said of her beau: "I am very much in love with him, (only) Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!"
