Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos is currently undergoing a medical at AC Milan, the Serie A club have confirmed.
It had been rumoured over the weekend the Switzerland international was on his way to the San Siro, but neither club were willing to comment on the speculation.
The Rossoneri told PA Sport on Monday, however, that the 23-year-old was at Milanello undergoing medical tests.
Milan would not say whether they are looking to take Senderos on a loan deal or sign him permanently.
Senderos joined Arsenal from Servette in 2003 and became a regular member of Arsene Wenger's back four.
Should the move go through, he would link up once again with former Arsenal team-mate Mathieu Flamini, who joined Milan at the start of the summer.
Milan also completed the signing of Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko from Chelsea on Monday.
